A couple of hours ago, the Botswana Government, commendably, deported the White-American, Anti-Gay Pastor Steven Anderson. Why this is 5 days after the Botswana LGBTQ group petitioned for the toxic pastor to be banned is beyond my understanding. He did land in Botswana on Thursday. Based on a couple of online clips, supported by some Facebook comments, the pastor has already done damage in Botswana.
We should never, ever, mistake freedom of speech with hate speech. Why do we think South Africa and the UK banned the very same Mr Anderson from entering their shores? The name of the radical Islamist preacher, Anjem Choudary comes to mind. His hate preaching, were, for a long time, deemed to be freedom of speech by the UK Government, and there is compelling evidence to suggest that some of the Jihadists he supposedly inspired had attended his public conferences. The BBC is just one of the many privileged platforms Mr Choudary was given. Just this morning, Pastor Steven Anderson was a guest on the Breakfast with Reg: live on Gabz FM, ’’Botswana’s No 1 Adult Contemporary Radio Station’’.
Well done to the Botswana Government, next time you should listen.
