Le nna ke Mmirwa, I am a Mmirwa too

The other day I realised how ill informed, perhaps even ignorant of the Central District in Botswana I am. Yet, the district, according to Wikipedia, is the largest of Botswana’s districts, “in terms of area and population”.

I am honoured and grateful of my encounter with a gentleman from the Bobirwa Sub District yesterday. Now, on top of the great Duncan Senyatso’s Tsetsebjwe, RB1´s Molaladau, the mining town of Selebi Phikwe where my uncle Rre Motaboga Kgasa worked until he died in 1997, perhaps at the BCL Mine Hospital; and the headquarters of the Bobirwa Sub District Bobonong: I know of a village on the banks of the Motloutse River, Motlhabaneng, I know of Mathathane, Semolale, Mabolwe, Lepokole, Lentswe-le-Moriti, Kobojango, Tobane, Robelela.

Le nna ke Mmirwa, I am a Mmirwa too.
