Life

My late father, Rre Lekgoanyana Kgasa, worked at the Durban Roodeport Deep Mine in “whites only”, “non-whites” South Africa. This means it was illegal for him to go to certain areas, all his time in apartheid SA.

Here, in the Committe Room 10, at the Palace of Westmister, is his maroon handkerchief, bought during his time in Roodeport.

I wonder where my daughter is going to photograph this maroon hanky.

Life.
