Afro, ohh my Afro!

The danger here, I think, is that most of us are too quick to point fingers at the so called white school. I argue that doing so is a distraction from the matter. What are we, as Africans, as Batswana, telling and showing our children? What are we actually doing to ultimately reinforce and reproduce the “neat” Afro status-quo?

This, to me, is just an indication of what lies beneath: in us. A truthful (I must add, emotional) conversation in our homes will be a good start.
