This priceless image was captured by my brother Nkgotla two days ago, at Goora Kgasa ward. There was yet another wedding in my family, Gops Kgasa, the grandson to my grandfather’s cousin. Gops home yard shares a fence with my grandparents home yard, where my father was born and raised. My parents house is the second from Gops’ parents home, on the leftside.
With open hands, is the great Rre Mogogi Mogojwa, my late father’s uncle. Who is also the husband to Gops aunty. On his left is Batona and his immediate right is Blocks, sons to the late Rre Buang Kgasa, my late grandfather’s cousin. Standing is one of Kgatleng legends, Sejeso. I had a prolonged interesting conversation with Sejeso sometime in July, when I was home, we were joined by my Mafhikana Primary classmate Slop, one of the skillful boxers to emerge from Botswana.
When Nkgotla sent this photo, I could not stop thinking of the beautiful memories at this kgotla. Therefore, another mention of the Nama story is warranted.
Congratulations Bokfel!
