Setoromeisi

Stromeisi

Maybe 1991: I believe this is the very first time I was a setoromeisi. I am not sure, but I believe there were at least 20 other ditoromeisi, at the very least. It was for my father’s cousin’s wedding – his mother’s sister’s son.

Here, at the Mafhikana church, for the wedding church service. Contrary to the photo, I was very excited: new suit, new shirt, new bow tie, new socks, and I believe a new bene (briefs), car printed.

We danced, we prayed, we sang, we laughed, we ate, we drank, we listened, we watched and we memorised. Yes, they married.
