Thursday 12 July 2007: We met, just after sunset, in the spectacular wee village of Arrochar in Scotland.
The scene was inside the 3 star Loch Long Hotel’s action-packed kitchen; just by the gigantic stainless stell dishwasher. In my black and white uniform, I was scraping a tray of plates into the black waste-bin, next to the noisy machine.
There she was: in her blue flattering jeans, an elagant baby pink top and a pair of crispy-white adidas on her feet – she was evidently stylish. With her blue eyes, sun-tanned skin and long brunette curly hair, she was clearly a lekgoa.
The following week, charmingly, I asked her to accompany me for a short walk – away from the Lochs & Glens action. Little did I know, it would be a lifetime walk- way beyond the majestic Clyde Sea Lochs.
Happy 10th anniversary to us: to me and The beautiful One that I charmed into walking with me. Mmaabo.
