“I remember one time back in the early 90s,i had gone to a school in Kanye to check a friend who was a teacher. This was during class time. I could hear her voice that she was in the middle of a lesson. While i was waiting outside close to the door, i could hear a lot of noise coming from the class. Every pupil was on their feet looking outside nd shouting “OCEAN, OCEAN”. In a matter of seconds, the whole school had joined in the uncontrollable shouts of ” OCEAN”. I looked at the direction of the main road. It was there, passing slowly nd looking so beautifully. Everytime i go to Kanye, i look towards Sam’s house, i c the left over of this once beautifull bus that made every Mongwaketse child proud of having been born nd raised in Kanye.”
