We are going to have to temporarily lose some rights (eg. freedom of movement, limited social gatherings…) in order to protect public health, for the state to protect and uphold our fundamental right: the right to life.
I’m also confident in the government that soon we will hear of the necessary measures in place to support and remove anxiety to everyone affected, the most vulnerable, in particular. For example, today it was announced that ‘prison visits have been suspended’. I hope there are plans in place to provide them with essentials (toiletries & tobacco, yes motsoko) they rely on from their loved ones.
Praying for Botswana, for the world!
