We once accommodated a beautiful girl of about 20. A friend to one of our housemates, who was away. She slept in my bed with me for about a week. Apart from me struggling to sleep for a week, nothing happened.

One afternoon, after she took a shower, only in a white towel, she found me and my boy D in my bedroom. She asked for some privacy. As we were leaving, she looked at me and said I can stay. But what was very funny was D’s reaction: very surprised, he looked at me and nodded in approval while I pretended to be very calm!

D, in a dizzy state, went downstairs to join my late cousin Mox and my boy E.

I think she knew very well how my friends would perceive the action (of her saying I can stay). Of course, as soon as she went out, they congratulated me and hyped me up. However, what they never knew is that night I did not even fall asleep for a second, while she was snoring right by my side.

Looking back, I think she was somehow protecting herself from all the unnecessary attention from the boys in the house (myself included).

I miss Mox.

P.S.

I think she was not feeling safe at all. Especially that she did not know anyone there. I remember that when we had a chill session with about 10 other boys, she came downstairs to drag me by hand to go to sleep.

Because of my male privilege, I never really realised that until recently.
